Effect of Oxide Flux Particle Size on Weld Bead Morphology of Hastelloy C-22

Activated tungsten inert gas welding (ATIG) is a new approach to Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) that has the potential improve weld penetration. This paper investigates effect of micro and nanoparticle size oxide flux during TIG Hastelloy C-22. The SiO<sub>2</sub> Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> fluxes in terms particle thermal stability on surface appearance, bead geometry, microhardness fusion zone hastelloy C-22 investigated. appearance ATIG better using when compared with same flux. A slag layer produced by nano decomposition very less fluxes. Nanoparticle penetration depth width (D/W) ratio generated weldment microparticle Process. When used welding, or D/W do not increase significantly. Due high voltage at arc length, produces heat input. Furthermore, higher temperatures produce column, resulting increased depth.
